Update 1 - The TO AVERAGE and TO MEDIAN numbers were wrong at the bottom of the chart; I inadvertently used the number for Hollis instead of Gilford. The old numbers were:
| To Average | 27.00% | Above | To Average | 29.32% | Above |
The new numbers are:
| To Average | 19.64% | Above | To Average | 21.83% | Above |
I will correct the Summary table in just a moment.....
=====================================================
Please note: this is a harder than most Post to do, as the data here is more of a combination of both a Public Works Director and that of a Highway Superindentent. While similar in many respects, the PWD has much more responsibility (in general) and is generally better compensated. Thus, please be careful in comparing those towns with a PWD (tagged with a *) against those with an HS.
Please also note that some positions, especially the HS, are part-time and hourly. I have adjusted these positions to reflect the rates if brought to full time and on an annual pay basis.
This post will show (and is setup for discussion) the salary ranges of the equivalents of the Public Works Director of similiarly sized towns in order to demonstrate where Gilford compensation stands in relationship.
Please note that we pay our Public Works Director, based on the maximum amount of the range, 5th highest of the group at 27.05% above the average and 29.3% above the median maximum salary.
This post will be updated when actual costs are obtained.
