Doug says "Thanks!"

After weeks of rhetoric and unfounded charges of incivility, the voters have had their say in Gilford, and as expected, they saw through the mud and focused on the facts. The news that in all but one question on the ballot, voters followed the Municipal Budget Committee’s recommendations speaks volumes about that committee’s hard work and efforts in its attempt at bringing tax stability for the taxpayers. I am deeply humbled and pleased that voters saw fit to elect me to a three year term on this very important board.
.
I thank each and every one of you who have placed your trust in me to continue to serve as a watchdog for the people’s tax dollars. Additionally, I would like to publicly state my appreciation for those who worked very hard to help me with my campaign. Without their work and dedication, Tuesday’s victory might not have happened. Dittoes for all who graciously allowed signs on their properties, publicly stating their belief in me-- It means more than you might know.
.
My best wishes go out to my opponents in the campaign, who I encourage to stay involved in the process. At the end of the day, we all want what’s best for our town.
.
Doug Lambert
